Sep 26 - Apr 10 Titanic's Rose Petal Memorial Tribute
Often, guests have asked if they could somehow honor the passengers and crew. For the first time ever, when you visit each ship now and throughout the entire year leading up to April 2012, guests will be given an actual rose petal and that rose petal will be placed into a memorial case - which will then go out to sea on April 10, 2012. All of the rose petals will be placed out to sea by the Coast Guard at the exact site where we lost Titanic 100 years ago.

Saturday, Jan. 21 Masters Trout Championship
Masters Trout Championship, Saturday January 21, 2012, is an annual public fishing tournament that Lilleys' Landing Resort and Marina on Lake Taneycomo. This cold water lake offers great rainbow and brown trout fishing. The rules of the tournament require artificial baits only and it is catch-and-release tournament as well. The entry fee is $50 for each two-person team. Cash prices and trophies will be award to the top four teams. The teams with the heaviest brown and rainbow trout are awarded Big Trout Cash Prizes. Feb 4 - Feb 5 Titanic Hosts 2012 National Ice Carving Association US Nationals
The Titanic Museum Attraction in Branson, Missouri is the site chosen to host the 2012 National Ice Carving Competition, a preliminary for competitors to end up in the city of Sochi, Russia, the host city for the XXII Olympic Winter Games in 2014. The two-day event will be held on Sat., Feb. 4, and Sun., Feb. 5, 2012. “We are very excited to have the Titanic in Branson host the 2012 NICA U.S. Nationals. This two-day ice carving competition brings the nation’s best ice carvers together for a chance at the title of NICA U.S. Nationals Champion. This will be one of our premier stops on NICA’s International Tour Champions Ice Carving Competition Circuit, currently the largest circuit in the world,” said Jeff Petercsak, Executive Director, National Ice Carving Association. Thirty of the U.S. National Ice Carving Association’s (NICA) champion  Ice Carvers are coming to Branson to blast, drill and torch three-hundred-pound chunks of ice into amazing works of art starting at 9 a.m. Saturday , Feb. 4  and finishing 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012  at the Titanic Museum Attraction’s outdoor staging center, announces Titanic owner, John Joslyn. This marks the first time ever that the NICA has chosen the city of Branson for its annual world-class championship competition and it promises to be the biggest and best in the association’s 25-year history. The two-day family event will be hosted by the Titanic Museum Attraction outdoor entertainment area.  This outdoor event is FREE to the public.  Due to anticipated interest, visitors are advised to arrive early for the best views to watch all of the ice carving action. “Last year’s regional-only competition at Titanic Museum Attraction drew more than 10,000 people.  This year, the NICA is projecting a 20,000 visitor turnout for the grand nationals,” says John Joslyn, owner of Titanic Museum Attraction.  Sculptors will be competing for a prize purse valued at over $25,000, - the largest to date - and for the possible chance to represent the United States in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia.   “At 3 p.m. Sunday, February 5,  an official National Ice Carving Association judging panel will announce the winners, so stick around to see if your favorite carver is among them,” adds Joslyn. Be sure to see the new Unsinkable “Molly” Brown exhibit. Branson, dubbed the “live music show capital of the world”, is the perfect place to escape the winter blues during January and February and Branson’s Hot Winter Fun Big Show is the perfect event to sample a wide variety of shows and performers jam-packed into one exciting show. The Hot Winter Fun Big Show provides the audience an opportunity to see portions of several shows that are open during the winter months of January, February and March. The Big Show will be emceed by popular Branson entertainer, Bob Leftridge of the Baldknobbers Jamboree.
